Henry's regiment is taking a break, but they can still hear the fighting going on off in the distance. During the period of rest the men noticed one of the soldiers crying out in pain, it was their comrade Jimmie Rogers. Wilson volunteers to go get some water for him and Henry goes with him. They think there is a stream near by, but go so far that they can see some of the battle being fought in another area. The genral and his staff pass by them and they listen in to what they are saying. They are talking about which unit they can go on without, and it just so happens it is 304th which is the unit Henry and wilson are in. The officer said that they fight like a bunch of mules.
I thought Henry's unit was doing really well and now they are considered to be the weakest.
